Certified Daring Way Facilitator
Hello!
My name is Diana Garcia, and I’m a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, which means I’m been trained to implement the different approaches based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Ph.D. LMSW.
You might have heard of Brené Brown or some form of her work since she has:
- A TedTalk – The Power of Vulnerability – that went viral
- A Netflix special – Brené Brown – The Call to Courage
- Two Podcasts: Unlocking Us & Dare To Lead
- She’s even mentioned in Ted Lasso. Sidenote: If you haven’t already, go watch the show now, you can thank me later.
One of the reasons her work has become so popular is that the concepts discussed in her books and work are incredibly relatable. We all have moments of struggling with shame, the not-good-enough voices, scarcity, and want to learn how to step into our values and live authentic lives.

My Approach as a Certified Daring Way Facilitator
I was fortunate enough to get exposed to Brené Brown’s work early on in my career. I had the opportunity to get trained as a Certified Daring Way Facilitator and have been grateful for the knowledge and tools from her different curriculums to help my clients.
I run groups and workshops based on the Gift of Imperfection, The Daring Way™, and the Rising Strong™ throughout the year. I also incorporate specific tools and practices from these models in my individual and couples therapy. If you have any questions about this work, you can contact me here.
FAQ on the Daring Way™
What is the Daring Way™?
The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process, we explore topics such as:
- Vulnerability
- Courage
- Shame
- Worthiness
You are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding you back and identify the new choices and practices that will move you toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way you live, love, parent, and lead.
What is The Gifts of Imperfection?
You might have also heard of the Gifts of Imperfection Book. Well, if you haven’t, definitely go pick it up because it’s my favorite Brené Brown book. This workshop is based on the 10 guideposts discussed in the book, and the focus is on fostering wholehearted living.
Wholehearted living “is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, no what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough. It’s going to bed at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging.”
In this workshop, you will explore each guidepost and engage in creative activities to learn about each process and how to apply it to your life.
What is The Rising Strong™?
There’s a guarantee when it comes to vulnerability: If you are brave enough, often enough, you will fall. I know, Ouch! This course is all about how you can turn that struggle into something significant and decide how you want to show up going forward.
To give you a sense of all her work, this is how how Brené describes the progression of her work:
- The Gifts of Imperfection – Be you.
- Daring Greatly – Be all in.
- Rising Strong – Fall. Get up. Try again.
