If you’re looking for a mindfulness exercise to practice being able to notice and be with thoughts and feelings, then this exercise is for you.
My name is Diana Garcia, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, owner of Nurturing Minds Counseling. Something I routinely encourage my clients to start practicing is to beef up their “noticing skills” and one of the best ways to start to do this is my practicing some mindfulness exercises.
This exercise has been adapted from Acceptance of Thoughts & Feelings mindfulness exercise from ACT for Anxiety Disorders by Eifert & Forsyth (2013). If you’re ready to get started, just hit the play button below.

I hope that was helpful for you. I encourage you to practice this as often or as little as you need it. I typically recommend trying to make it more of a consistent practice so you can start using mindfulness skills when you need it most.
