My name is Diana Garcia, and I’m a therapist in Weston, FL. If you’ve landed on my page, you’re probably struggling with one of the following:

Even though these issues are common, it doesn’t mean they are any less uncomfortable, and in my experience, most people struggle far too long before they seek help for one of them. Many of the people I’ve worked with are high-achieving, yet they also realize deep down that some of the way they’ve learned to get through isn’t always the most helpful for their own well-being.

FAQ

I have worked with individuals who have a range of other concerns, not just the specialties listed above. The best way to determine if we’d be a good fit is to schedule a complimentary consultation where I can learn more. If I’m not a good fit, I’m always happy to help find you a referral.

I also specialize in couples therapy, and I’m a Certified Daring Way Facilitator.

I typically work with individuals from 18-30’s. Again, I have worked with individuals outside of that age range because it depends on bringing someone to counseling. I do not provide counseling for children but know some great child therapists.

First off, well, that just sucks; I’m sorry that’s been your experience. A couple of thoughts: not all therapists are the same, and every therapist has their unique style and specialties. Maybe it was a fit issue? Maybe the type of therapist wasn’t to your liking?

There can be a combination of reasons why therapy wasn’t helpful, and that’s good information for you to have so you can discuss it on your intake call to make sure it feels different this time. I always give the analog; it’s like if you had one lousy date and you decide to swear off all people for the rest of your life (what a shame that would be). To be clear, I don’t want to minimize your experience, and I’d encourage you to keep an open mind.
